Monte Carlo is a track where overtaking is anything but easy, yet Vettel pulled off a mighty move. He flew out of the pits and straight into a drag race with Gasly up the hill to Massenet as the pair contested fifth place. The Frenchman blinked and Vettel had jumped him and an out-of-sorts Hamilton, 'overcutting' the pair of them during their pitstops after finding pace on his worn tyres. Fifth place, and driver of the day, was his reward.
